Advisers, you’re invited to take part in our 2018 Adviser Compensation, Profitability Survey

Investment News

Those who take the survey will get a free copy of the benchmarking study as well as other perks.

InvestmentNews Research invites all financial advisory firms to participate in its 2018 annual adviser benchmarking survey. We are making two important changes to this year’s study that we hope will provide advisers and the industry with more valuable and comprehensive research benefits than ever before:

1. We have added elements of the compensation questionnaire to this year’s benchmarking survey in order to produce a standalone update to our Adviser Compensation & Staffing Study in July. In this highly competitive market, we understand how important it is for firms to consistently evaluate compensation plans and staffing structure. Now firms won’t have to wait until 2019 for fresh compensation data.

2. This year’s InvestmentNewsFinancial Performance Study of Advisory Firms will be re-named The Study of Profitability & Pricing. We’re making this update to reflect the true focus of the study: How advisories can strategically improve firm growth, optimize service offerings and improve overall performance.

We have revised the survey to make participation more efficient. The core elements of the Financial Performance Study are still included, and we’ll continue to provide research and analysis on the areas that are most important to the profitability and productivity of an advisory business: revenue mix, income statement management, and sources of assets and clients. Additionally, the study includes detailed investigations into the drivers of growth and profitability, including business development, marketing, referrals, fees and services.

And now, on an annual basis, our benchmarking study will encompass personnel and pay.

Complimentary copies

Study participants will receive complimentary copies of both the 2018 Study of Profitability & Pricing and the 2018 Adviser Compensation & Staffing Study (a $999 value).

In addition, we’ll be providing all participants with immediate access to the InvestmentNews Adviser Research Dashboard for one full year (also a $999 value) and free registration to the 2018 Best Practices Workshop on November 13, 2018 in Boston (a $595 value).

Our goal is ensure that participating advisers receive the best possible return on an important investment – their time. We hope that these updates and enhancements are valuable, informative and productive.
