New York Life unit recruits treasurer

New York Life Insurance Co. has named Steven Lash as senior vice president of the corporate finance department and Richard Witterschein as the company’s new first vice president and treasurer of the department.

New York Life Insurance Co. has named Steven Lash as senior vice president of the corporate finance department and Richard Witterschein as the company’s new first vice president and treasurer of the department.
Mr. Lash began his career with New York Life in 1987, but most recently served as principal within the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services at Ernst & Young.
He is now responsible for managing multiple core financial functions for the company, including the actuarial, tax and treasury departments and corporate development.
Mr. Witterschein joined New York Life in 1996 from Automatic Data Processing and Nextel. In his new role, he is responsible for managing the Treasury Department including cash and liquidity management and bank relations.
