SunAmerica Asset Management Corp. in New York has named Betsy Treitler, 34, vice president of marketing and communications, responsible for the SunAmerica Mutual Funds and the Style Select Series. She had been a director of publishing at Cerulli Associates in Boston.

Sunpoint Securities Inc. in Longview, Texas, has hired six additional registered representatives: Andrew Antonucci, 27, Jeff Doust, 27, Matt Beaulieu, 30, and Richard Dearcop, 29, all from New York State; Jennifer Brown, 42, from California and Kreg Greenfield, 35, from Iowa.

Lutheran Brotherhood Family of Funds in Minneapolis has appointed Richard A. Hauser, 55, to its board of directors for its 14 mutual funds. He is a partner at Baker & Hostetler, a Washington law firm.

BT Alex. Brown Inc. in New York has appointed Eric L. Hirschfield, 31, managing director of its basic industries corporate finance group, responsible for the packaging industry. Previously, he was a managing director and global head of the packaging group with Societe Generale in Paris.

Chicago Trust Co. has promoted Nancy M. Scinto, 38, to vice president from assistant vice president. She will continue to manage the Morningstar five-star rated Chicago Trust Growth and Income Fund.

Everen Securities Inc. in Chicago has appointed John G. Enright, 36, senior vice president and manager of its Chicago client services branch. He replaces John Hawke, who left the company to join Howe Barnes Investments Inc. in Chicago as president and chief operating officer.

Fidelity Investments in Boston has named Christine Thompson, 40, portfolio manager, succeeding Jonathan Short, 35, who left in July to join the marketing department at Putnam Investments, also in Boston. Thomas Silvia, 37, will succeed her as manager of the U.S. Bond Index Fund and Ford O’Neil, 36, will take over as manager of the Target Timeline Funds and Intermediate Bond Fund.

Robert J. Haber, 40, has been named portfolio manager of Fidelity Canada Fund and Fidelity Capital Builder Fund. He had been an equity research analyst, portfolio manager of a number of Fidelity funds and director of U.S. equity research. He succeeds Thomas Sweeney, 42, who left in July to invest for himself in global equities and commodities.

In addition, Stephen Binder, 35, and Adam Hetnarski, 34, have been named associate portfolio managers. Michael J. Tempero, 32, and Andrew Kaplan, 33, will succeed Mr. Hetnarski as technology sector leader and portfolio managers, respectively.

First Union Capital Markets in Charlotte, N.C., has hired Mark S. Piscatelli, 31, as a director to work with public finance clients throughout Connecticut. Most recently, he was a vice president of public finance at Fleet Securities in New York.

ING Barings in New York has named Paul Potter, 41, senior vice president of emerging markets fixed-income sales. Previously, he was vice president of fixed-income sales at BankAmerica Robertson Stephens in New York.

Johnston Lemon & Co. in Washington has appointed Frederic G. Burke, 51, president of its subsidiary, JL Capital Management Inc. A former chief trust officer at ASB Capital Management in Washington, he replaces David Davis, who retired in January.

KeyCorp in Cleveland has named Joseph M. Vayda, 47, executive vice president and treasurer replacing John A. Simonson, who left the company earlier this year. Most recently, Mr. Vayda had been executive vice president and treasurer for CoreStates Financial Corp. in Philadelphia.

Links Securities Inc., a broker-dealer specializing in mortgage-backed securities and structured finance in New York, has appointed David Brindley, 45, Jonathan Davis, 35, and Cameron A. Lochhead, 37, as managing directors. Previously, both Mr. Brindley and Mr. Davis were senior vice presidents at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. in New York. Mr. Lochhead was senior vice president at Internet Securities in Boston.

Linsalata Capital Partners in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, has named Eric V. Bacon, 40, senior vice president for acquisitions. Most recently, he had a transition assignment with Reliant Building Products of Dallas.

Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh has named Thomas B. Black, 52, chairman, president and chief executive officer of its Northeastern Region. J. Michael Puleo, 48, replaces him as chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Northern Region. Mr. Puleo was previously vice president and regional manager.

Montgomery Asset Management in San Francisco has named Cynthia Boucher, 47, corporate vice president and chief information officer, replacing Michael Shinn, 48, who left in April. Ms. Boucher had been a director of information technology with Sega Game Works in Universal City, Calif.

OppenheimerFunds Inc. in New York has appointed John Kowalik, 41, senior vice president and co-manager of the Oppenheimer Bond Fund and the Variable Account Funds/Bond Fund. He is a former senior fixed income portfolio manger at Prudential Global Advisors in New York.
