Labor poised to issue 401(k) fee disclosure regs

The Labor Department is close to issuing the first of several regulations governing disclosure of 401(k) fees and expenses. At a congressional hearing last week, a department official said final regulations addressing such disclosures to the public should be unveiled in a few weeks, followed within several months by proposals that would govern disclosures to plan fiduciaries by providers and disclosure by plans to participants.
