Patricia Cox is new Schwab COO

Ms. Cox will report to Charles Goldman, executive vice president and head of the San Francisco-based custody business.

Schwab Institutional named Patricia “Trish” Cox as its new chief operating officer on Friday.
Ms. Cox will report to Charles Goldman, executive vice president and head of the San Francisco-based custody business.
The COO position opened up when he took the reins of Schwab Institutional from Deborah D. McWhinney, former head of that unit last May.
Since then Mr. Goldman has filled both roles.
Ms. Cox, has headed the client service and support organization for Schwab’s retail businesses, Schwab Investor Services, since 2005.
In her new role, she oversees Schwab Institutional’s staff responsible for service, operations and technology platform development.
