SEC seeks new disclosure standards

The SEC recently proposed modifying the disclosure form that investment advisers must file with the agency for public review.

The SEC recently proposed modifying the disclosure form that investment advisers must file with the agency for public review. Under the changes, Form ADV would include a plain-English narrative disclosing detailed information about business practices, conflicts of interest and disciplinary history. Comments were due in May.
