MFC Global Investment Management (USA) LLC of Toronto has added Reid A. Kilberg, 38, to its sales team as managing director.

He is responsible for institutional sales and business development.

Previously, Mr. Kilberg worked at Sit Investment Associates Inc. of Minneapolis marketing fixed-income strategies to the institutional marketplace.

Crestwood Advisors LLC of Boston has hired Aaron Beltrami, 36, as director.

Previously, as a vice president at Fidelity Investments of Boston, he managed individual and family investment relationships.

Jefferies Putnam Lovell of New York has hired Karamvir Gosal, 35, as managing director.

Previously, he served as director of Zurich, Switzerland-based Credit Suisse Group’s financial-institutions group in Issaquah, Wash., where he advised on transactions in the alternative-asset-management space.

Hall Capital Partners LLC of San Francisco has hired Richard L. Grand-Jean, 66, as principal and director of business development for the Eastern United States.

He will help build and manage global multiasset portfolios, specialized mandates and the firm’s fund-of-funds program.

Jeff L. Shields will continue in his role as director of business development for the Western United States.

Previously, Mr. Grand-Jean was president of Abel’s Hill Capital Corp. of New York.

Morgan Joseph & Co. Inc. in New York recently made two hires to its new structured-products group.

Michael Ice, 49, was named managing director. Previously, he spent three years as a managing director at HSBC Holdings PLC of London.

Peeyush Varshney, 40, has joined Morgan Joseph as senior vice president. Previously, he served as vice president of the structured-credit, fixed-income-currency and commodities division at The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. of New York.

NPB Financial Group LLC of Burbank, Calif., has hired Larry Lambert, 65, as branch manager of the Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction in Los Alamitos, Calif. 

He worked previously as a representative at Associated Securities Corp. of Los Angeles. 

Metamorphosis Money Management of Denver, a tax transition manager, has hired Ed Nelson, 46, as managing director of business development.

He will work on creating relationships with financial advisers, family offices and investment firms that cater to the ultrahigh-net-worth-investor market.

Mr. Nelson was previously vice president of national sales for Osprey Partners Investment Management LLC of Shrewsbury, N.J.

National Planning Corp. Inc. of Santa Monica, Calif., has named Erik Feldman, 42, and Oscar Martinez, 34, relationship managers.

They will serve as the company’s dedicated practice-management liaisons.

Mr. Feldman most recently served as vice president of practice management for the National Planning Holdings Inc., where he coordinated practice-management efforts to aid financial advisers with maximizing the efficiency, productivity and profitability of their businesses.

Sherida Ferguson, a certified financial planner, will take on Mr. Feldman’s responsibilities as vice president of practice management. Previously, she was a wealth management specialist at Smith Barney, a unit of New York-based Citigroup Inc.

Mr. Martinez previously served as first vice president of electronic communications at the company, and he oversaw the research and development of new-business technology for National Planning Corp.

AMBS Investment Counsel LLC of Grand Rapids, Mich., has hired Ryan M. Allen, 31, as a portfolio manager.

His position centers on equity and fixed-income analysis.

Previously, Mr. Allen was an assistant vice president and senior analyst of closely held and middle-market credits at Bank One Corp., which New York-based JPMorgan Chase & Co. bought in 2004.
