The former Edward Jones market guru had been with Cornerstone

Alan Skrainka, a regular market commentator on business television shows during his days as a strategist at Edward Jones, has joined Krilogy, a St. Louis, Mo.-based registered investment adviser. He will serve as chief market strategist and director of research at the $1 billion firm.

Most recently, Skrainka served as chief investment officer at Cornerstone Wealth Management, also in St. Louis.

Skrainka began his career at Edward Jones in 1982, becoming the firm’s youngest partner in 1989.

In 2010, he was fired “for failing to provide proper attribution for material,” according to a firm spokesman at the time.
