The SEC is asking for public input on a “road map” that could lead to the use of international financial-reporting standards by U.S. issuers beginning in 2014.

The SEC is asking for public input on a “road map” that could lead to the use of international financial-reporting standards by U.S. issuers beginning in 2014. The proposed plan would be carried out over several years; the agency would decide in 2011 whether adoption of such standards benefited investors.
