Colony Group to buy $288 million RIA

The Boston-based firm will acquire Calabasas, California-based Legacy Wealth Partners.

The Colony Group, a Boston-based registered investment advisory firm managing more than $13 billion, is acquiring Legacy Wealth Partners, a Calabasas, California-based RIA managing $288 million.

Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close later this year, were not disclosed.

Brad Levin founded Legacy in 2001, and David Tracy joined the firm in 2004.
