Chase Investment Counsel Corp. of Charlottesville, Va., has promoted David B. Scott, 54, to president, replacing firm founder Derwood S. Chase Jr., 77.

Chase Investment Counsel Corp. of Charlottesville, Va., has promoted David B. Scott, 54, to president, replacing firm founder Derwood S. Chase Jr., 77.

Mr. Scott, formerly a senior vice president, will continue in his role as chief investment officer with primary responsibility for overseeing the firm’s investment strategy and investment portfolios. He will also remain a director.

Mr. Chase has assumed the roles of chairman and chief executive, and will continue to be involved in formulating overall investment strategy. He remains a director.

In addition, the firm has promoted Jennifer King, 38, previously vice president of client relations and operations, to senior vice president of operations and corporate secretary. She will be responsible for overseeing a broad range of operational, client service and administrative functions.

State Street Global Advisors of Boston has hired Scott Ellspermann, 29, as regional consultant for the Rocky Mountain region with SSgA’s intermediary-business group’s national broker-dealer team.

His responsibilities include overseeing the distribution of SSgA’s exchange traded funds, mutual funds and managed accounts to advisers in that region.

Previously, Mr. Ellspermann was a portfolio strategy consultant at UBS AG of Zurich, Switzerland, where he was responsible for fee-based-platform sales for financial advisers in the Midwest.

Invescor Ltd. of Farmington Hills, Mich., has hired Michelle Reppen, 40, as director of sales.

She will be responsible for managing Invescor’s growing sales team.

Previously, Ms. Reppen was senior business partner for strategic human resources, responsible for supporting activities relating to organizational development, business optimization, strategic planning, talent management, and mergers and acquisitions, at The Hanover Group Inc./Citizens Insurance Company of America of Worcester, Mass.

In addition, Invescor has hired Stephanie Price, 30, as human resources manager.

She will be responsible for recruiting employees, developing and administering benefit plans and human resources policies, and implementing employee development programs.

Previously, Ms. Price administered company benefits programs and developed financial metrics to analyze cost savings for benefit plan design changes, among other responsibilities, at Atwell-Hicks Development Consultants of Ann Arbor, Mich.

Stonnington Group LLC, a wealth management firm based in Los Angeles, has hired David Knowles, 54, as managing director and investment adviser.

He will provide strategic investment advice to the firm’s clients, as well as offer public and private real-estate-investment-related services.

Previously, Mr. Knowles was director of financial strategy for The Marcus & Millichap (Holding) Company headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif. where he was responsible for capital markets and strategic-development activities in connection with its various subsidiaries.

Yanni & Associates Investment Advisors LLC of Wexford, Pa., has hired Irene M. Pike, 49, as office manager.

She will be responsible for all office and administrative needs.

Previously, Ms. Pike worked as a legal secretary at Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP of New York.

KeyCorp of Cleveland has hired Timothy J. Lathe, 53, as executive vice president to lead the company’s wealth management group.

He will oversee KeyCorp’s business groups that provide investment-banking, insurance and trust services to affluent individuals and families as part of the broader Key Community Banking organization.

Previously, Mr. Lathe was executive vice president and head of the private-client group at National City Corp. of Cleveland. He also served as chairman of NatCity Investments Inc. and oversaw the ultra-affluent segment.

Bancnorth Investment Group Inc. of Portland, Maine, has hired Sheryl R. Cooper, 52, and Gary R. Spivak, 39, as financial advisers based in the TD Bank branch in Saddle Brook, N.J.

They will provide individualized retirement and financial planning, including individual retirement accounts, Section 529 college saving plans, life insurance, long term care insurance and employee-sponsored retirement plans for individuals and small businesses throughout the area.

Previously, Ms. Cooper was an adviser with Lakeland Bank of Oak Ridge, N.J., and Mr. Spivak was an adviser at North Jersey Federal Credit Union of Totowa, N.J.
