Peter Carmack exits Wells Fargo and sets up shop as Carmack Capital Management in Lees Summit, Missouri.

Peter Carmack, who managed $510 million at Wells Fargo Advisors in Overland Park, Kansas, has gone independent and affiliated with LPL Financial.

His new practice, Carmack Capital Management, is based in Lees Summit, Missouri, LPL Financial said in a press release Tuesday.

Carmack was with Wells Fargo for 12 years after spending nine years with Morgan Stanley and a predecessor firm. He began his securities career in 1993 at H&R Block Advisors.
