Ex-Morgan Stanley exec leaves Fortress Investment Group to return to the fold
Morgan Stanley today announced that Henry McVey, who previously worked at the firm, is returning as head of global macro and asset allocation for Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc.
Morgan Stanley today announced that Henry McVey, who previously worked at the firm, is returning as head of global macro and asset allocation for Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc.
He will rejoin the firm this month and be will be responsible for portfolio management and oversight of that area. He will also serve as the firm’s strategist.
He will report to Stu Bohart, co-head of MSIM.
Mr. McVey first joined Morgan Stanley of New York in 1993 as a research associate and became a senior analyst in 1997. He moved into the U.S. Strategy Group in 2004.
He left his position as chief U.S. investment strategist and member of the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee in June 2007 to join investment manager Fortress Investment Group LLC of New York.
Morgan Stanley had $356 billion in assets under management or supervision as of March 31.
