RBC Wealth Management has lured away yet another rep from a wirehouse and continues to add financial advisers at a substantial clip.
Douglas S. Mance, who was named vice president and financial consultant, has joined RBC from Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. of New York, where he served for 28 years. At Merrill, he focused on wealth management and financial planning, and had $150 million in assets under management, according to RBC spokeswoman Jonell Rusinko Lundquist.
With the addition of Mr. Mance, RBC has attracted 278 financial advisers this year – already a more than 75% increase compared with the 157 advisers hired in all of 2008, the firm reported.
RBC Wealth Management of Minneapolis is the U.S. wealth management business of the Montreal- and Toronto-based Royal Bank of Canada.
