Jonathan Golub, who was chief market strategist for ING Investment Management Americas, left the firm Aug. 7 after just two months on the job.
ING of Hartford, Conn., had hired Mr. Golub, 44, to fill the newly created position, where he was to provide economic insight and investment ideas for clients.
He also was on the asset allocation team.
A successor to Mr. Golub has not yet been selected.
“[ING] will be looking for someone to fill the role,” said ING spokeswoman Annette Bronkesh.
“In the interim, members of the multiasset-strategies team will be filling in to take up his responsibilities.”
That team is led by Paul Zemsky.
Prior to the position at ING, Mr. Golub was a chief investment strategist for Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. of New York, where he worked on asset allocation policy.
