Nine percent of the 548 advisers surveyed selected the Morningstar Inc. site as their top choice, followed by the sites of Yahoo! Finance (3% of advisers), Bloomberg (3%), The Wall Street Journal (2%), Google (2%) and Yahoo (2%). CNBC, MarketWatch, Facebook, and American Funds each were selected as the top website choice by 1% of those surveyed.
Twenty-two percent of responding advisers reported that their time using the web had increased by more than more three hours a week over the past 12 months, while 28% said it had increased by one to three hours a week.
Forty-six percent of advisers surveyed said the time they spent online had remained the same during the past year, 3% said their time online had decreased by between one and three hours and roughly 1% said it was down by more than three hours.
