Regulators are considering proposed rule changes intended to boost the oversight of credit-rating agencies. In September, the SEC to proposed amendments that would require annual compliance reports at such agencies and enhance disclosure of potential sources of revenue-related conflicts. Commissioners also voted to propose new rules that would require, among other provisions, disclosure of information regarding any limitations on the scope of a particular credit rating.
