Harris myCFO of Chicago has hired Mark W. Castelin, 56, as director and senior investment adviser.

He will be based in Seattle.

Mr. Castelin will deliver investment advice and implementation solutions to ultrahigh-net-worth clients.

Previously, he worked at Russell Investments in Tacoma, Wash., as a research analyst, portfolio manager and client adviser, and created a client service office. 

Trust Co. of America of Centennial, Colo., has hired Dennis Noto, 45, as chief information officer at its Denver office.

He is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the company’s financial services systems and technology tools for financial advisers.

Previously, Mr. Noto was chief information officer in the Denver office of Computer Research Inc. of Broomfield, Colo., where he was responsible for application architecture and software design that powered back-office processing for Scottrade Inc. of St. Louis.

KBS Realty Advisors of Newport Beach, Calif., has promoted Giovanni Cordoves and Justin Long.

Mr. Cordoves, 28, has been named assistant vice president of asset management. He will provide asset management leadership for the company’s Houston portfolio.

Previously, Mr. Cordoves was an asset management associate responsible for working with property management and leasing teams. He was involved in the direct asset management of several high-profile properties acquired by the firm.

Mr. Long, 34, will be an acquisition associate responsible for sourcing, underwriting and securing commercial-real-estate assets in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico.

Previously, he was a senior investment analyst and supported KBS Realty Advisors’ central-region asset management team and national industrial portfolio.

Capstone Advisory Group LLC of Saddle Brook, N.J., has hired Joseph R. Rosenbaum, 53, as an executive director of its litigation and forensic-practice group in San Francisco.

His responsibilities include assisting clients and their counsel in litigation and investigations.

Previously, Mr. Rosenbaum was a partner in New York-based Ernst & Young’s fraud investigation and services practice, where he led the firm’s litigation services technology group in San Francisco.

Securities America Inc. of La Vista, Neb., has hired Glen McRary, 38, as regional director of branch office development for the Southwest.

Based in Virginia Beach, Va., he will be responsible for executing recruiting strategies and communicating the firm’s philosophy to independent financial professionals.

Previously, Mr. McRary was vice president of business development for Houston-based Next Financial Group Inc. in Virginia Beach.

There, he was responsible for recruitment and division development, providing direct contribution to increasing shareholder value, and implementing and tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

The Real Estate Investment Securities Association has selected Daniel Oschin, 43, to serve as president-elect through December 2011.

He will begin a one-year term as president in January 2012.

As president-elect, Mr. Oschin is responsible for assisting the president with main initiatives, overseeing the association’s events, serving on the executive committee, building relationships with members and demonstrating leadership.

Mr. Oschin is the managing director of the Meridian Group of Companies in Seattle. His responsibilities include designing, developing and distributing all Meridian-sponsored private and public offerings, and diversifying the company’s capital sources.
