Invest Financial Corp. of Tampa, Fla., has hired Paul Coffin, 28, as vice president of practice management

Invest Financial Corp. of Tampa, Fla., has hired Paul Coffin, 28, as vice president of practice management.

He will oversee Invest’s enhanced practice management platform, which provides tools and resources that help financial advisers improve the efficiency and profitability of their practices.

Previously, Mr. Coffin was vice president of sales and marketing for TPP Inc. of Boca Raton, Fla., where he was responsible for product initiatives, sales team activity, developing presentations, marketing material, client service guidelines and maintaining partnership relationships.

New York Life Insurance Co. has hired Don Salama, 50, as senior vice president of the company’s Tampa, Fla., operations.

He will lead the company’s direct-marketing business in Tampa, which was started in 1994 and has close to 2 million customers.

Previously, Mr. Salama was chief strategy officer and senior managing director of New York Life Investments.

Interactive Advisory Software of Marietta, Ga., has hired John Philpott, 38, as chief executive.

He is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company and for overseeing growth initiatives.

Previously, Mr. Philpott was a senior vice president and general manager of S1 Corp. of Norcross, Ga.

Lincoln Financial Distributors of Radnor, Pa., has hired Jim Lyday, 41, as head of institutional-retirement-solutions distributions.

He is responsible for leading the growth strategies for distribution of Lincoln’s defined-contribution business in the full-service midsize- to large-employer retirement plan market.

Previously, Mr. Lyday was senior vice president of strategic relationships in Hartford, Conn., for Prudential Financial Inc. of Newark, N.J. There, he was responsible for developing and implementing strategies designed to maximize distribution effectiveness and drive growth.

Affiliated Managers Group Inc. of Prides Crossing, Mass., has hired John W. Copeland III, 48, as president of AMG Wealth Partners, a newly formed subsidiary of AMG that focuses on investments in boutique wealth management firms.

Based in West Palm Beach, Fla., he will lead AMG Wealth Partners, invest in high-quality boutique firms and ensure that the unit’s wealth management affiliates are provided with a range of support services to enhance their growth, risk management and operating efficiency, as well as the opportunity to access the customized investment strategies of AMG’s investment affiliates.

Previously, he was a senior partner for a private-wealth-management team at Morgan Stanley of New York.

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Springfield, Mass., has hired Amy Chen, 38, as director of Chinese market development.

She will lead MassMutual’s Chinese- American market development and expand efforts to raise awareness of the importance of financial planning, as well as the benefits of a career in financial services. Ms. Chen also will handle recruiting efforts in the Springfield office.

Previously, she was a vice president at AEGON of The Hague, Netherlands. There, Ms. Chen was responsible for developing strategic partnerships between insurance companies and banks.

RBC Advisor Services of Minneapolis has hired Sanjeev K. Rajput, 34, as a senior vice president.

Based in Newport Beach, Calif., he is responsible for all aspects of new-business development.

Previously, Mr. Rajput was vice president of sales and institutional wealth services in Newport Beach for Fidelity Investments of Boston. There, he was responsible for developing custody and brokerage services business relationships with registered investment advisers.

Larch Lane Advisors LLC of Rye Brook, N.Y., has hired David Katz, 44, as president and chief operating officer.

He will provide advisory services focused on early-stage hedge fund investing and seeding.

Previously, Mr. Katz was co-founder and partner at Rocaton Investment Advisors of Norwalk, Conn.

Campbell & Co. of Baltimore has hired Stephen Roussin, 47, as president.

He will work with Terri Beck, Campbell’s chief executive, and assist with the day-to-day management of the firm, supported by the firm’s executive committee.

Previously, Mr. Roussin was managing director and head of investment solutions for UBS Wealth Management Americas of New York.
