New York Life Insurance Co. of New York has promoted Sue Ericksen, 52, to chief information officer, from chief technology officer and senior vice president.
As leader of the corporate information department, she is responsible for setting the strategic technology direction of the company.
Previously, Ms. Ericksen oversaw the enterprise architecture and engineering division in the corporate information department.
Washington Trust Wealth Management of Westerly, R.I., has hired two key senior executives for its Weston Financial division in Wellesley, Mass.
Jake W. Filoon III, 50, is president and chief operating officer, and is responsible for overseeing the company’s business activities, including sales, client services and operations.

He is responsible for developing and leading the firm’s internal and external alternative-strategy sales initiatives, as well as overseeing national accounts.
Previously, Mr. Cadigan was a managing director and alternative portfolio specialist, and national sales manager in Boston for Rydex Investments-Security Global Investors of New York.
AllSquare Wealth Management LLC of Albany, N.Y., has hired Audra Higgins, 42, as a financial adviser.
She is responsible for advising clients on life insurance and long-term-care coverage.
