Capstone Investments Inc. of San Diego has made three hires and promoted four employees

Capstone Investments Inc. of San Diego has made three hires and promoted four employees.

Alan Ebright, 39, is based in Del Mar, Calif., and is senior vice president of institutional sales, responsible for primarily California and Texas accounts. Previously, he was senior vice president of institutional sales in Del Mar for Miller Tabak & Co. of New York.

Douglas Livingston, 49, is based in New York and is chief compliance officer, responsible for directing compliance initiatives. Previously, he was chief compliance officer for Ixe Securities LLC of New York.

Mark Sylvestri, 33, is based in New York and is an investment banker, responsible for general oversight. Previously, he was an industrial- and transportation-sector fundamental-equity analyst for SES Partners LP of New York.

Carter Driscoll, John Putnam, Jeff Schreiner and Craig Warner were all promoted to managing director.

Mr. Driscoll, 40, is based in New York and is responsible for following the clean-technology and alternative-energy industries.   

Mr. Putnam, 63, is based in Delray Beach, Fla., and is responsible for following the medical-device industry.

Mr. Schreiner, 36, is based in Menlo Park, Calif., and is responsible for covering the semiconductor industry.

Mr. Warner, 40, is based in San Diego and is director of trading.

Ridgeway & Conger Inc. of New Woodstock, N.Y., has promoted Allison Rumschik, 27, to vice president of the firm’s broker-dealer, from director of business development and marketing.

She is responsible for daily ticket reviews and approval of paperwork, as well as the transitioning and training of new representatives.

Aquila Investment Management LLC of New York has hired Royden P. Durham, 60, as vice president and co-portfolio manager of the Churchill Tax-Free Fund of Kentucky, a municipal-bond mutual fund for Kentucky residents.

He is based in Louisville and is responsible for conducting research on existing and prospective investments, and meeting with the financial professional community.

Previously, Mr. Durham was president of AdvEnergy Solutions in Louisville, which he founded in 2007.

RBC Capital Markets LLC of Toronto has made two additions to its U.S. investment banking platform.

David Creamer, 46, is based in San Francisco and heads the semiconductor investment banking team, a part of the U.S. technology investment banking group.

He is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, equities, leverage and other corporate activities involving global semiconductor and electronics companies.

Previously, Mr. Creamer was head of semiconductor banking in Foster City, Calif., for Jefferies & Co. Inc. of New York.

Glenn Riedman, 43, is based in New York and is the co-head of RBC’s U.S. industrial and diversified-services investment banking group. He is responsible for direct client coverage of capital goods and diversified industrial companies, and manages coverage of building products, packaging, chemicals, metals and mining.

Previously, Mr. Riedman was a managing director for JPMorgan Chase & Co. of New York.

Cambridge Investment Research Inc. of Fairfield, Iowa, has hired Jeff Evanello, 47, as vice president of client solutions.

He is responsible for leading a team specializing in retirement, insurance and investments, as well as fee-based products, services, platforms and strategies.

Previously, Mr. Evanello was branch manager in Scottsdale, Ariz., for Waddell & Reed Financial Inc. of Overland Park, Kan.

First Western Trust Bank of Denver has hired Bill Schmidt, 74, as senior trust officer and family wealth adviser.

He is responsible for further expanding the tax counsel and generational-wealth-planning guidance of the company.

Previously, Mr. Schmidt practiced trust and estate law for Holland & Hart LLP of Denver.

Ares Management LLC of Los Angeles has hired Suzanne Murphy, 43, as global head of marketing and investor relations.

She is based in New York and is responsible for working with marketing teams for Ares’ capital-markets, private-debt and private-equity groups to meet client investment mandates.

Previously, Ms. Murphy was head of strategic development for Claren Road Asset Management LLC of New York.
