Abacus Planning Group Inc. of Columbia, S.C., has hired Aaron Graham, 29, as a paraplanner, responsible for assisting financial planners in developing and implementing financial plans for clients.

Previously, he was an accountant at Park Hunter Skipper CPA in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Rall Capital Management Inc. of Melbourne, Fla., has promoted Adam Rall, 23, to communications specialist, from administrative assistant.

He is based in Merritt Island, Fla., and his responsibilities include administrative tasks, paraplanning and client relations.

This is Mr. Rall’s first full-time position in the industry after graduating from the University of Central Florida in May.

Ameritas Advisor Services of Lincoln, Neb., has hired Jason Torske, 41, as a personal-services representative.

He is responsible for providing personalized support services to registered investment advisers in the life insurance and annuity markets to help them retain and attract clients.

Previously, Mr. Torske was a regional-sales vice president for Lincoln Benefit Life Co. in Lincoln.

B.C. Ziegler and Co. of Chicago has hired Kenneth R. Koger Jr., 46, as a financial adviser, responsible for providing clients with tailored wealth management, and specializing in retirement, income and estate planning.

Previously, he worked in Naperville and Lamont, Ill., as a senior financial adviser for The Private Client Group of U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. in St. Paul, Minn.

Rinehart Wealth Management of Charlotte, N.C., has hired Sandy Carlson, 41, as a financial adviser.

She is responsible for providing financial and estate planning for the firm’s clients.

Previously, Ms. Carlson was director of wealth management at Eastover Investments in Charlotte.

RMB Capital of Chicago has hired Masa Hosomizu, 37, as a portfolio manager on the equity team of RMB Asset Management.

He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Japan-focused investments and will be in charge of analyzing stocks and traveling to Japan to meet with companies and management teams.

Previously, Mr. Hoso- mizu worked at Coghill Capital Management in Chicago as the portfolio manager of the firm’s Japanese small-cap strategy.

Raymond James Financial Inc. of St. Petersburg, Fla., has promoted Jim Bunn, 40, to co-head of the firm’s investment banking practice, from co-head of the company’s technology services investment banking group.

He is responsible for day-to-day management decisions and setting long-term strategy for investment banking at the company.

Calvert Investment Management Inc. of Bethesda, Md., has hired Gabriel Thoumi, 42, as a senior sustainability analyst.

He joins Calvert’s environment team and is responsible for integrating financial analysis with environmental, social and governance factors.

Previously, Mr. Thoumi was a senior energy analyst for eTrios Commodities in Washington.

U.S. Bank Wealth Management of Seattle has hired Patricia Edwards, 50, as managing director for investments for The Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank.

Based in Bellevue, Wash., she is responsible for leading a team of portfolio managers who create customized investment portfolios for individuals and institutions.

Previously, Ms. Edwards was chief investment officer and a partner at Trutina Financial of Bellevue.

Envestnet Inc. of Chicago has hired Zachary Karabell, 46, as head of global strategy.

Based in New York, he is responsible for shaping and communicating the company’s investment perspective to clients and the media, as well as advising an investment committee.

Previously, Mr. Karabell was executive vice president, chief economist and head of marketing at Fred Alger Management Inc. in New York.

Salvini Financial Planning of Avila Beach, Calif., has hired Yvette Gabriel, 50, as an assistant planner, responsible for retirement and tax planning.

Previously, she was a self-employed certified public accountant.
