He is based in Princeton, N.J., and is responsible for attracting new business.
Previously, Mr. Zimmerman was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Brown Brothers Harriman Trust Co. in New York.
Women in Insurance and Financial Services of Albany, N.Y., has named Angelia Shay, 46, president.
She is responsible for heading the organization, which focuses on attracting women to the financial services sector and developing talent.
Ms. Shay is a financial adviser with Eagle Strategies in Glen Allen, Va., a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Co.
RBC Wealth Management USA of Minneapolis has hired Rob Spawn, 53, as senior managing director of the firm’s San Francisco complex.

The Investment Program Association of Ellicott City, Md., has named Mark Goldberg, 52, chairman for 2014.
