The House has passed a bill that would let shareholders weigh in on executive compensation packages.
The House has passed a bill that would let shareholders weigh in on executive compensation packages. HR 1257 would require public companies to include a non-binding advisory shareholder vote in annual proxies so shareholders can either express approval or disapproval for executive pay plans.
The bill has been sent to the Senate, where it will be considered by the Finance Committee.
