BlackRock hires White House adviser Bianchi
Sarah Bianchi, the director of economic and domestic policy for Vice President Joe Biden, was hired as a managing director in its advisory unit.
BlackRock Inc., the world’s largest asset manager, has hired Sarah Bianchi, the director of economic and domestic policy for Vice President Joe Biden, as a managing director in its advisory unit.
Ms. Bianchi will report to Craig Phillips, the head of the financial markets advisory group in BlackRock Solutions, according to an internal memo provided to Bloomberg News.
She’s held her position advising Biden, and as deputy assistant to President Barack Obama for economic policy, since 2011. The 41-year-old joined hedge fund firm Eton Park Capital Management as an investment adviser in 2005, according to the memo.
