![Mr. Vick had no better luck with his next financial adviser. To help guide him through bankruptcy — while still in jail — the quarterback hired adviser David Talbot. According to bankruptcy papers filed by Mr. Vick's attorney, Mr. Talbot was paid $15,000 per month and took possession of one of Mr. Vick's cars, an $85,000 Mercedes-Benz. But questions began to surface about Mr. Talbot's credentials, and in 2007, the New Jersey Attorney General's Office charged him and two others with allegedly defrauding members of a church of $500,000. Mr. Vick fired the adviser soon after. Mr. Talbot settled the charges with the AG in 2009.
