Fidelity’s Sipple jumps to Putnam

Scott Sipple was named managing director and head of strategic relationship management at Putnam Investments, said spokeswoman Laura McNamara.

The position is new.

Mr. Sipple was senior vice president of Fidelity Investments Institutional Services’ bank trust business. His duties were assumed by other members of the group, said spokeswoman Jenny Engle.

Mr. Sipple will oversee a new team at Putnam that has been assembled to communicate with the asset management research platforms of leading wealth management firms about the firm’s products and services.
