LPL expands retirement platform for 401(k) advisers

LPL Financial is continuing to add to its platform of retirement offerings and products for reps and advisers focused on the 401(k) market.

LPL Financial is continuing to add to its platform of retirement offerings and products for reps and advisers focused on the 401(k) market.
At its recent national meeting in San Diego, the firm introduced a “retirement-plus program.”
This program, which was officially rolled out last month, is a broader lineup of retirement plan products, as well as record-keeping and plan administrative services, LPL said in a statement.
Specifically, LPL noted that it has formed partnerships with four new retirement plan service providers as part of the expanded program: CPI Qualified Plan Consultants Inc.; Guardian Retirement Services, a unit of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America; ING Groep NV; and Principal Financial Group.
“It’s the formalization of the effort to focus on 401(k) market,” said Bruce Harrington, senior vice president of retirement solutions for LPL Financial.
