Brian Stimpfl, a 17-year veteran of TD Ameritrade and its custody business for independent advisers, has left the company.

Mr. Stimpfl, who joined Waterhouse Securities as a customer services rep in May 1993, most recently was managing director of adviser advocacy, helping coordinate regulatory, lobbying and public relations issues.

He said he has not yet decided on his next move.
