Team managing $100 million at Morgan Stanley leaves to form hybrid

PrairieFire Wealth Planning uses B-D, RIA platforms of Sanctuary Wealth.

A Morgan Stanley team led by Matt Meline, who managed $100 million in Des Moines, Iowa, has formed a hybrid firm, PrairieFire Wealth Planning, and affiliated with the broker-dealer and registered investment adviser platforms of Sanctuary Wealth.

Sanctuary Wealth, which has $8 billion in assets under management and is headquartered in Indianapolis, specializes in serving breakaway advisers from large firms.

Mr. Meline began his career in in 1999 at PFIC Securities. He moved to Wells Fargo Investments in 2001 and, after a short stint at Citigroup, joined Morgan Stanley in 2009.
