Advent Software Inc. last week announced version, 8.0 of Geneva, the company’s global investment management and fund accounting system.
The software is used by asset managers, hedge funds, and fund administrators the world over and won awards from a couple of hedge fund-oriented publications in the last couple of months. And since Advent recently opened its new Singapore office recently, I’m sure they are betting on selling lots more licenses overseas.
Among its new features users will find out-of-the-box integration to counterparties and data providers.
Specifically there are real-time dashboards for monitoring counterparty exposure and profit and loss statements, enhanced trade blotter with support for trade entry and allocations, as well as trade lifecycle management through confirmations, affirmations and settlement.
This version has the second generation of Advent’s Geneva Advantage reconciliation and case management engine built into it. There is also built-in connectivity with internal systems and counterparties, including out-of-the-box prime brokerage connectivity and pre-built integration tools to industry standard data platforms like the Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol and the Omgeo Central Trade Manager platform.
