AXA hires Fidelity retirement exec
AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. has added Bill McDermott as executive vice president of corporate markets, a new business.
AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. has added Bill McDermott as executive vice president of corporate markets, a new business.
In his new capacity, Mr. Mc Dermott will lead a team that will develop retirement solutions and for large companies. He will also explore new distribution channels for the company’s investment products.
Mr. McDermott joins New York-based AXA Equitable from Fidelity Investments of Boston, where he spent the last 11 years in a number of roles. Most recently, he was the executive vice president of large corporate market retirement services at Fidelity Employer Services Co. in Marlborough, Mass. There, he was responsible for sales, marketing and relationship management functions relating to the retirement needs of Fortune 500 companies.
