Calls for estate tax repeal grow

Another bill was introduced last month that permanently would repeal the estate tax. HR 2380, sponsored by Rep. Kenny C. Hulshof, R-Mo., joins two other bills that aim to get rid of the so-called death tax.

Another bill was introduced last month that permanently would repeal the estate tax. HR 2380, sponsored by Rep. Kenny C. Hulshof, R-Mo., joins two other bills that aim to get rid of the so-called death tax. HR 411 also would make permanent individual tax breaks relating to the sales tax deduction, the child credit and deduction for higher-education expenses. HR 1586 would abolish the federal estate and gift taxes. The newest bill, HR 2380, has the backing of 80 co-sponsors. For details, http://thomas.loc.gov
