Edward Jones broker terminated over client gift is barred by Finra

Regulator says Ralph Villanueva Villavicencio failed to provide testimony for its investigation.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. has barred a former Edward D. Jones broker for failing to appear for on-the-record testimony in connection with its investigation of his firm’s allegation that he accepted a gift from a client without notifying the firm.

Ralph Villanueva Villavicencio, who worked in Kirkland, Wash., and joined Edward Jones in 2013, was terminated last September for accepting the gift.

He accepted and consented to the Finra action without admitting or denying the findings.
