Fidelity hires for Chinese unit

Fidelity International Ltd. of Tonbridge, U.K., has made some hires to its Chinese arm in an effort to augment business in the region.

Fidelity International Ltd. of Tonbridge, U.K., has made some hires to its Chinese arm in an effort to augment business in the region.

It appointed Long Zhan as head of China business, a newly created role. Mr. Zhan, who was formerly with ING Groep NV of Amsterdam, Netherlands, will assume his new duties July 1 in Hong Kong.

The company has also appointed Stuart Guinness as head of product design and development, also a new position. Mr. Guinness was previously with Prudential PLC of London.

Also, the firm has announced that it is looking for a senior manager to strengthen its institutional business in China.
