Fidelity launches Retirement Income Evaluator

Fidelity debuted a Web-based tool designed to help advisers create and manage retirement income plans for their clients.

Fidelity Investments, a Boston-based investment management firm, has launched the Fidelity Retirement Income Evaluator, a Web-based planning tool designed to help advisers create and manage retirement income plans for their clients.
Fidelity’s three adviser businesses — Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Co., Fidelity Registered Investment Advisor Group, and National Financial — have made the tool available at no cost to advisors who work with the company.
The program uses a client’s information — including income, expenses, assets and financial events — to build a retirement income plan, then runs at least 250 hypothetical Monte Carlo simulations to generate a report that estimates the likelihood the client will cover retirement expenses.
The report includes a year-by-year cash flow analysis, beginning at the client’s expected retirement date and running through the end of the plan.
Advisers also can personalize the income plan report and include items to discuss with their clients.
