The Ohio-based broker stopped cooperating with regulator's investigation.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. has barred a former JP Morgan Securities broker who was being investigated for failing to report financial liens and judgments.
Finra started investigating Benjamin S. Johnson, a Ohio-based broker, after he was terminated by JP Morgan and its affiliate Chase Bank in January 2017. According to Finra, Mr. Johnson allegedly failed to report financial events, including seven liens and judgments.
Mr. Johnson initially requested time to respond to requests for documents from Finra in June, according to the regulator. He was barred after he informed Finra in August that he was no longer going to cooperate with the investigation.
Mr. Johnson started working in the financial industry in 2009.
