Harik joins UBS from Citi

Longtime Citigroup wealth manager Lorraine George Harik joins UBS Private Bank.

UBS Wealth Management US has hired longtime Citigroup Inc. wealth manager Lorraine George Harik as managing director and senior client advisor for its Private Bank. Ms. Harik, who worked for Citigroup for 23 years, will report to Frank Minerva, managing director and head of the New York Private Wealth Management office.
UBS’ Private Wealth Management unit serves the firm’s ultra high net worth clients. In her new role, Ms. Harik will work with Private Wealth Advisors and Private Bankers.
“We are extremely pleased that Lorraine will be joining UBS. She has an excellent reputation in the industry for her work with ultra high net worth clients,” said Minerva. “Adding someone with her depth of expertise and client-centric mentality is a further testimony to the growth of our business in the US.”
The move is seen as part of UBS’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its wealth management team. In April, it hired Jeff Bischoff, formerly of Smith Barney, to head recruiting efforts at its high-end unit.
