INSURANCE: Model reg for annuity suitability gets committee OK

A final version of model regulation pertaining to annuities was adopted last month by a committee of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

A final version of model regulation pertaining to annuities was adopted last month by a committee of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. The model regulation, which addresses suitability issues in annuity transactions, is expected to be voted on by the full NAIC at its spring meeting, scheduled for March 25-28 in Denver.
