Yes, clients want financial advice. But they also want to be educated about investing and planning. A new study released by LinkedIn and the Financial Planning Association shows that financial advisers who take time to teach their clients have happier clients — and get more referrals.
Here are some more highlights from that study:

• Advisers will see a bigger return from client engagement if they are providing clients with educational resources, a Financial Planning Association and LinkedIn study found.

• According to the study “Financial Professionals and the Future of Thought Leadership and Social Media,” relaying such information leads to better client satisfaction and referrals.
