LPL Financial snags $200 million team

Moore Financial Services was previously with Lincoln Financial for 33 years.

Moore Financial Services has joined LPL Financial‘s broker-dealer and registered investment adviser platforms. Moore managed approximately $200 million in client assets.

Based in Richmond, Va., Moore Financial was previously affiliated with Lincoln Financial Securities Corp. for 33 years before joining LPL, according to Finra‘s BrokerCheck. The firm, which was founded in 1985, has four advisers: CEO Raymond E. Moore, Christopher Moore, Joseph Tuck and Ashwin Sharma.

Moore Financial, which has been transitioning to LPL for about 45 days, is still a general agent with Lincoln, but wanted to switch to a bigger broker-dealer, according to Raymond Moore.

“I wanted a big broker dealer that could provide the technology and the support that we need,” he said. (More: Finra fines Lincoln Financial broker-dealer $650,000 for failing to protect client data)
