NAIC announces committee heads
Eric Dinallo, superintendent of New York State’s insurance department, will lead the life insurance and annuities committee.
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has announced its 2008 committee chairs and vice chairs.
Eric Dinallo, superintendent of New York State’s insurance department, will be chairman of the life insurance and annuities committee.
Sean Dilweg, Wisconsin’s insurance commissioner, will be the vice chair of that group.
The health insurance and managed care committee will be led by Joel Ario, acting commissioner in Pennsylvania, with Kim Holland, Oklahoma’s commissioner, as vice chair.
Leading the property and casualty insurance committee is Florida’s commissioner Kevin McCarty. Michael McRaith, director of the Illinois division of insurance, will be the vice chair.
John Morrison, commissioner in Montana, will be the chair of the market regulation and consumer affairs committee, as well as vice chair of the international insurance relations committee.
Arkansas’ commissioner Julie Benafield Bowman will hold the vice chair post for the committee and act as vice chair for the information resources management committee.
The financial condition committee will be chaired by Alfred W. Gross, commissioner of Virginia. Mr. Gross is also a member of the international insurance relations group as a vice chair. Mary Jo Hudson, director of Ohio’s insurance department, is vice chair of the financial condition group.
Joseph Torti III, superintendent of Rhode Island’s insurance division, and Leslie A. Newman, commissioner in Tennessee will head the financial regulation standards and accreditation committee as chair and vice chair, respectively.
Alabama commissioner Walter Bell, was selected as chair of the international insurance relations committee, with Dorelisse Juarabe Jimenez, Puerto Rico’s commissioner, as vice chair.
Finally, Jim Long, North Carolina’s commissioner, has been named the chair of the information resources committee.
