NYLI names chief financial officer

Craig A. Merdian has joined New York Life International as executive vice president and CFO.

Craig A. Merdian has joined New York Life International as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Mr. Merdian is responsible for managing all financial, accounting, investment and actuarial matters for New York based-NYLI.
He will report to chairman and chief executive of New York Life International, Joseph A. Gilmour.
Additionally, he is a member of NYLI’s Senior Leadership Team, which is responsible for establishing management policies in all areas of the NYLI’s business and affairs.
Mr. Merdian most recently served as vice president within the international insurance business at Prudential Financial, where he was responsible for pricing and developing the financial structure for mergers and acquisitions.
