Weston Financial Group of Wellesley, Mass., has hired William J. Walsh, 48, as director and planning officer.

His responsibilities will include client development and marketing for the company’s wealth management division.

Previously, Mr. Walsh was senior vice president at Bank of America/U.S. Trust in Boston, where he managed a team of -private-client advisers and private-client managers serving high-net-worth clients. He is also a certified financial planner.

Weston is a division of Washington Trust Bancorp Inc. of Westerly, R.I.

Pioneer Investments Management USA Inc. of Boston has named John Pollen, 49, portfolio manager of the Pioneer Emerging Markets Fund.

His responsibilities will include overseeing two other portfolio managers and 13 analysts who specialize in emerging-markets equities.

Mr. Pollen has been head of emerging-markets equity at Pioneer since 2005 and oversees its global-emerging-markets equity team.

AlphaMetrix LLC of Chicago has hired George Matyas, 48, as director of sales.

He will be responsible for collaborating with the business development teams as they reach out to retail trading firms.

Previously, Mr. Matyas was a partner at Alternative Investment Resources LLC in New York.

Clearbrook Investment Consulting of Stamford, Conn., has hired Eric Wood, 49, as managing director of its new Implemented Consulting business.

He will be responsible for research and development, marketing, and operations.

Previously, Mr. Wood was managing director at Syndicate Advisers LLC in Greenwich, Conn., where he was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s operations and development.

Optimum Investment Advisors LLC of Chicago has named Marie L. Lorden and Mary L. Pierson as co-portfolio managers for its mid-cap-core-equity strategy.

They will also co-manage mid-cap institutional accounts and the Aston/Optimum Mid Cap Mutual Fund (CHTTX). They will do research and make investment decisions.

Previously, Ms. Lorden, 48, and Ms. Pierson, 55, were senior research analysts for the firm’s mid-cap strategy.

Invescor Ltd. of Farmington Hills, Mich., has hired Ziad Dallo, 32, and Sam Olson, 31, as account executives.

Mr. Dallo will be re-sponsible for working with insurance and financial professionals to promote and package life settlement transactions.

Previously, he analyzed investment portfolios, de-veloped investment strategies, and recruited, trained and developed new financial advisers for Boston-based John Hancock Life Insurance Co. in Southfield, Mich.

Mr. Olson will work with insurance and financial professionals on a national level in serving life settlement clients. He will also work to increase Invescor’s presence in the local life settlement market.

Previously, Mr. Olson had his own company, Olson Financial in Redford, Mich., where he provided clients with life and long term care insurance and worked as a consultant for other financial professionals.

KBS Capital Markets Group of Newport Beach, Calif., has hired Monica Brock, 37, and Robert Nguyen, 32, as senior-level executives.

Ms. Brock has been named director of finance to help accommodate ex-pected growth and product offerings.

Previously, she was accounting team manager at Capital Group Cos. Inc. in Irvine, Calif., where she directed 10 accountants and analysts and oversaw daily accounting and financial reporting.

Mr. Nguyen has been hired as operations manager at KBS and will assist in the company’s growth and product offerings.

Previously, he was complex-operations manager of the Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, where he recruited and developed a staff of 28, coordinated initial public offerings and analyzed more than $10 million in daily trade activity.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has hired Lorin L. Reisner, 47, as deputy director of its Division of Enforcement.

Previously, he was an attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York, where he was responsible for white-collar criminal matters, internal investigations, securities and commercial litigation, and media and intellectual property litigation.
