Erik Babocsi, 38, is president of the firm’s partner business EBC Financial Management LLC. He is responsible for discretionary management of customized portfolios, consulting to 401(k) and ERISA plans, and providing financial expertise on the financial aspects of divorce.

Previously, Mr. Babocsi was a financial adviser at UBS Financial Services Inc.

Jeff Drake, 62, is president of Capital Investment’s partner business Drake Financial Service. He is responsible for managing the accounts of independent business owners and high-net-worth clients, and making needed recommendations over time.

Previously, Mr. Drake was a financial adviser for LPL Financial.

Brad Helms, 58, is a principal at the firm’s partner business Integrated Advisory Services LLC. He will oversee the development of the firm’s emerging-affluent client base.

Previously, Mr. Helms worked as a self-employed financial adviser.

Ned Moore Jr., 47, is vice president of the firm’s partner business Bey-Douglas LLC, and he will lead its asset allocation program and retirement-income-planning efforts. Previously, he was a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.

John Newsome, 59, is a registered representative at the firm’s partner business The Newsome Agency. Previously, he was a financial adviser for Intersecurities Inc., where he was responsible for investments and financial management. 

Kimberlee Sipe, 35, is a financial consultant at Capital Bank. Previously, she was a financial adviser at Wachovia Securities LLC.

Skip Watkins, 51, is a financial consultant at Crescent State Bank, a Capital Investment business. He is responsible for all investment and insurance services, ranging from basic investment and life insurance needs to complex financial solutions.

Previously, he was a financial adviser for Wachovia Securities.  

Dante McDowell, 37, is a financial consultant. He is responsible for helping families develop and implement strategies for tax-efficient wealth accumulation, as well as addressing such risk management issues as life, health and disability insurance.

Mr. McDowell also works with small businesses to maximize their tax deductions through retirement plans, while also helping them address issues such as key-man and buy-sell agreements, deferred compensation, as well as other executive benefit options.

Previously, he was a financial adviser at Equity Services Inc.

Tess Ramby, 44, has been named a compliance officer. Previously, she managed the compliance and operations department at Buckingham Financial Group.

Ryan Mumy, 28, Elizabeth Rogers, 37, and John Watts III, 63, are financial consultants at the partner business Renaissance Financial Managers.

They previously were financial advisers at Wachovia/Wells Fargo & Co.

Nicole Owenby, 38, has also joined the team, having been with Ms. Rogers and Mr. Watts for more than six years as their primary assistant and client liaison. She is the client relations manager and is responsible for ensuring that financial transactions are processed, client confidentiality is protected and client care is managed effectively and efficiently.

Diane Fox, 54, is a registered assistant at Renaissance Financial and is responsible for preparing analysis of client portfolios and also oversees client care. Ms. Fox also comes to the company from Wachovia/Wells Fargo, where she served as branch administrative manager and was responsible for all client support activities at her branch.

Triad Advisors Inc. has promoted Michael Bryan, Marilyn Hosten and Nathan Stibbs.

Mr. Bryan, 34, has been named senior vice president of advisory services and will oversee the en-hance-ment and articulation of Triad’s fee-based platform. He will re-tain his previous duties as vice president of advisory services.

Ms. Hosten, 57, has been promoted to senior vice president for brokerage services and is responsible for management of brokerage operations, including risk management.

She will also continue as vice president of brokerage services, in which she is responsible for staff management and oversight of the trading desk.

Mr. Stibbs, 34, has been named senior vice president of new-business development with responsibility for coordinating Triad’s strategic- business-development program by marketing its broker-dealer and registered investment adviser services to independent financial advisers.

Previously, he was vice president of new-business development and was in charge of financial adviser recruitment.
