Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. has promoted William Johnson, 50, to senior vice president and branch manager of its new Lynchburg, Va., office.

Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. has promoted William Johnson, 50, to senior vice president and branch manager of its new Lynchburg, Va., office.

He will oversee more than $450 million in client assets.

Previously, Mr. Johnson was a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC, where he provided financial advice and service to clients.

Lenox Advisors Inc. has made Stefan Greenberg, 39, and Steve Serotte, 46, partners.

Mr. Greenberg will be responsible for managing company growth, planning and strategy. Previously, he was a managing director and worked with both corporate and high-net-worth individual clients of the firm.

Mr. Serotte will also be responsible for company growth, planning and strategy. Previously, he was the senior managing director for the firm’s San Francisco office and oversaw estate, insurance and wealth management strategies.

Ibis Wealth Management has been founded by Thomas W. Balcom, 37.

He will be responsible for managing the strategic direction of the firm, while overseeing client portfolios.

Previously, Mr. Balcom was a wealth manager at Foldes Financial Management LLC, where he served as head trader and assisted in the management of more than $300 million in client assets.

USAA has hired J. Eric Smith as president of USAA Life Insurance Co.

Mr. Smith, 52, will oversee product development, strategic marketing and member service solutions.

Previously, he was president of Allstate Financial Services LLC, where he managed the life and health insurance, annuities, mutual funds and general-securities units.

Gill Capital Partners has hired Leslie Squires Rojas, 32, as an insurance specialist.

She will work with clients to develop customized long-term-care and life insurance plans.

Previously, Ms. Rojas was the operations and compliance manager for Bruce G. Allen Investments LLC, where she ensured that in-dividual branches complied with regulatory guidelines.

Multi-Financial Securities Corp. has hired James Quinn, 50, as vice president and national sales manager.

He will guide practice management, recruitment and relationship management, helping financial advisers grow and strengthen in these areas, while implementing best practices.

Previously, Mr. Quinn was the managing director of sales and marketing at startup Welton Street Investments LLC, where his responsibilities included executive leadership, product development, and marketing strategy and execution.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has hired Eric Gioia, 36, as a vice president and private banker in its private-wealth-management division.

He will advise families, small-business owners, non-profits and foundations on their comprehensive financial management needs, in-cluding investment, trust administration, retirement, philanthropic and wealth transfer planning.

Previously, Mr. Gioia was a New York City councilman.

First Eagle Investment Management LLC has promoted Kimball Brooker Jr., 40, to associate portfolio manager of the First Eagle Overseas and First Eagle U.S. Value funds, from senior vice president and senior research analyst covering market sectors that included financials, commercial services and holding companies.

He will become more involved in the portfolio management decision-making process in addition to maintaining his responsibilities as senior analyst.

Altegris Investments Inc. has hired Andrea Trachtenberg, 50, as chief marketing officer.

She will focus on building the Altegris brand and delivering strategic-marketing programs and initiatives, as well as sales growth strategies for the high-net-worth, independent-broker-dealer and registered in-vest–ment adviser channels.

Ms. Trachtenberg was the founder and managing director of Ivory River Group Ltd., a boutique strategic-marketing consulting firm.
