Citi Private Bank has hired Todd Devin, 36, as a director and private banker.

He is responsible for delivering the firm’s resources to ultrahigh-net-worth clients.

Previously, Mr. Devin was a senior vice president and advised high-net-worth private clients at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.

New York Life Insurance Co. has promoted Michael Gordon, 35, to senior vice president of the newly formed Agency-Life Operations organization.

He will oversee the firm’s eight subunits, which include NYLife Securities and Eagle Strategies, the company’s broker-dealer and registered investment adviser divisions, respectively.

Previously, Mr. Gordon was first vice president in the agency department responsible for managing and developing market strategies

KBS Capital Markets Group, an affiliate of KBS Capital Advisors and KBS Realty Advisors, has hired Lee Bastidas, 36, as a vice president of national accounts.

She is responsible for increasing the profile of KBS products among broker-dealers nationwide.

Previously, Ms. Bastidas was the senior relationship director responsible for developing and maintaining continuing relationships with independent broker-dealers nationwide at Principal Funds Distributor Inc.

Capital Investment Cos. has hired seven independent registered financial advisers.

Donna Allen, 45, has joined the company’s Capital Bank affiliates program with KS Bank at the Smithfield, N.C., branch, where she will be responsible for serving all eastern North Carolina locations. Previously, Ms. Allen was a financial adviser at Edward Jones.

Todd Ashworth, 31, has joined the company’s affiliate Renaissance Financial Managers in Hickory, N.C. Previously, he was a project manager with Ryan Homes and was responsible for the development of numerous communities in the Charlotte, N.C., area.

Cecil Creasy Jr., 63, who will work from his own office in Wilmington, N.C., managing equity and bond portfolios, was previously an investment adviser for RBC Wealth Management, where he also managed equity and bond portfolios.

Arch deCastrique, 57, will work from an office in Bladenboro, N.C. He is responsible for individual retirement planning, financial planning and investment programs. Mr. deCastrique has been an independent adviser since 1976.

Dana Postiglione, 61, is based in Durham, N.C. A planning specialist, She was previously an assistant vice president at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.

Robert Williams Jr., 41, based in Hiawassee, Ga., is a certified public accountant and previously ran his own tax practice.

He will focus on corporate and individual tax return preparation and will support client retirement-planning needs. 

Steve Zimmerman, 68, based in Kennesaw, Ga., specializes in working with certified public accountant firms and their clients primarily in western North Carolina and northern Georgia. He was formerly an investment adviser with National Financial Services LLC.

Gill Capital Partners has hired Darin Snowas, 40, as a partner responsible for managing client relationships and portfolios.

Previously, Mr. Snowas was a senior managing adviser at BKD Wealth Advisors, where he established, oversaw and managed all its financial operations.

Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. has hired Timothy C. Gokey, 48, as senior vice president and chief corporate development officer.

He will assist in driving Broadridge’s growth by identifying strategic opportunities.

Previously, Mr. Gokey was the president of H&R Block Retail Tax Services, where he directed company and franchise operations, international financial products and corporate marketing.
