The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association of Amherst, Mass., has hired Keith Black, 43, as associate director of curriculum.

He is in charge of implementing curriculum recommendations for the CAIA Level II examination, which is one of two required examinations for investment professionals seeking the CAIA designation.

Previously, Mr. Black was an associate and member of the opportunistic-strategies group at Ennis Knupp & Associates Inc. in Chicago.

New York Life Insurance Co. has hired Ben Woloshin, 47, as senior vice president and head of relationship management for its retirement income security business.

He is responsible for strengthening the company’s strategic relationships with nationally recognized third parties.

Previously, Mr. Woloshin was a vice president at The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in New York and was responsible for institutional relationships in the firm’s reinsurance group.

Wilmington (Del.) Trust Corp. has hired Karen S. Bond, 59, as client development officer at its Wilmington Trust Retirement and Institutional Services Co. subsidiary.

Based in New York, she is responsible for leading the unit’s business development initiatives with companies that offer employee stock ownership plans as part of their retirement plan programs.

Previously, Ms. Bond was a vice president at GreatBanc Trust Co. of Oak Brook, Ill. She worked in New York and provided trustee and fiduciary services, supporting new and existing employee stock ownership plans.

Multi-Financial Securities Corp. of Denver has hired Joseph Vinson, 37, as head of new-business development.

He is responsible for building the firm’s recruiting team and overseeing lead generation and recruiting campaigns. Mr. Vinson will also manage and facilitate the recruiting sales process, develop competitive analysis, and create the company’s recruiting message and sales tools.

Previously, he was senior vice president of business development at Next Financial Group Inc. of Houston.

Royal Alliance Associates Inc. of New York has hired Kevin Beard, 36, as senior vice president of recruiting.

Based in Cleveland, he is responsible for recruiting new groups to Royal Alliance and will work closely with offices of supervisory jurisdiction to recruit experienced advisers. He will also work closely with the home office team to ensure new recruits transition to Royal Alliance seamlessly and take advantage of the firm’s technology, continuing-education opportunities and open-architecture platform.

Previously, Mr. Beard was regional director, responsible for recruiting and acquisition of wealth management firms, at The Rehmann Group LLC of Saginaw, Mich. He was based in Cleveland.

Forward Management LLC of San Francisco has hired Victor Melinauskas, 38, as a regional sales director for the Pacific Northwest territory.

He is responsible for serving financial advisers and executing Forward’s business strategy in the region.

Previously, Mr. Melinauskas was a vice president and wealth management consultant for the U.S. intermediary business at American Century Investments of Kansas City, Mo., managing the Northern California territory for the company’s wealth management channel.
