Lincoln Financial Group of Radnor, Pa., has hired Mitchell S. Avnet, 41, as head of enterprise compliance and ethics, and Peter P. Feeley, 49, as head of business law and compliance.

Lincoln Financial Group of Radnor, Pa., has hired Mitchell S. Avnet, 41, as head of enterprise compliance and ethics, and Peter P. Feeley, 49, as head of business law and compliance.

Mr. Avnet is responsible for enterprisewide compliance, ensuring that the company observes all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Previously, he was chief of compliance of the broker-dealer and asset management group oversight programs at PNC Financial Services Group Inc. of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Feeley coordinates the legal aspects of major strategic issues and initiatives across business lines. Previously, he was chief operations officer and vice president of compliance for law in the compliance and business ethics department of The Prudential Insurance Co. of America of Newark, N.J.

Envestnet Asset Management Inc. of Chicago has hired John Fitzpatrick, 50, as senior vice president of the enterprise sales team.

Based in Boston, he oversees key institutional relationships and strategic partnerships, working with clients to explore new distribution opportunities and assisting partners in raising assets through advisory solutions.

Previously, Mr. Fitzpatrick was vice president of product management at Fidelity Investments of Boston, where he worked with the managed-accounts strategy, competitive analysis, pricing and new product/platform development teams, and third parties, including Envestnet.

KBS Capital Markets Group of Newport Beach, Calif., has hired Kendall Best, 40, as vice president of national accounts.

She oversees Tier One firms in the broker-dealer community in the Western United States and is responsible for developing the firm’s strategic marketing, business plans, product approvals and budgets, as well as coordinating account campaigns.

Previously, Ms. Best was the director of national sales for Ridgewood Securities Corp. in Montvale, N.J.

WBI Investments Inc. of Minneapolis has hired Mike Buchholz, 41, as national sales manager.

He is responsible for increasing the distribution and sales of the firm’s separately managed ac-count portfolios and mutual funds to financial advisers. Mr. Buchholz also oversees WBI’s national sales force.

Previously, he was senior vice president and national sales manager for ING Financial Solutions of Minneapolis, where he oversaw distribution, sales and the management of 60 regional vice presidents.

Triad Advisors Inc. of Norcross, Ga., has promoted Chet Payne, 45, to executive vice president and chief operating officer, and Ernie Strauss, 34, to senior vice president and chief compliance officer.

Mr. Payne now oversees the firm’s daily operations, technology, and the accounting and financial adviser compensation departments.

Previously, he was senior vice president and chief compliance officer, and will continue to oversee and work with the compliance staff. Mr. Payne also continues his membership on the firm’s executive committee and his role in the compliance council for the Financial Services Institute Inc. in Atlanta.

Mr. Strauss oversees the company’s daily compliance functions, and ensures compliance with state, federal, and self-regulatory agencies. Previously, he was vice president and deputy chief compliance officer, and he continues his role as a consultant to Triad’s advisers.

Jackson National Life Distributors LLC of Lansing, Mich., has promoted Alison Reed, 34, to senior vice president of product and investment management.

She works in tandem with the firm’s actuarial department in order to develop and launch products across Jackson’s variable, life insurance, and fixed and fixed-index annuities product lines. Ms. Reed also is responsible for the company’s investment management initiatives, including overseeing its subaccount manager lineup.

Previously, she was vice president of due diligence at National Planning Holdings Inc., Jackson’s affiliated independent broker-dealer network, also based in Lansing. There, Ms. Reed supervised a team of four due-diligence analysts and was also chairman of the NPH product committee.
