Million Dollar Round Table of Park Ridge, Ill., has promoted Stephen Stahr, 46, to chief executive, from chief operating officer.

He is responsible for managing all staff members and administration of MDRT, as well as serving as the liaison to the executive committee and overseeing staff implementation of MDRT policy decisions as established by the executive committee.

Northern Trust Corp. of Chicago has hired Scott Murray, 53, as chief technology officer.

He is responsible for leading technology development, supporting client-facing applications and maintaining back-office infrastructure, including data centers for Northern Trust’s global operating platform, serving clients in about 40 countries.

Previously, Mr. Murray was head of the global business program office for Treasury services in Chicago for JPMorgan Chase & Co. of New York.

Destra Capital Investments of Lisle, Ill., has added nine franchise operators to its sales team.

Destra’s franchise operator model aligns the interests of asset managers and sales team members with those of financial advisers and their clients.

Gary Chubb, 44, who is based in Hartland, Mich., serves as director of the Great Lakes East region and is responsible for Michigan, Northern Ohio and Fort Wayne, Ind. Previously, he was regional vice president, based in Hartland, for Genworth Financial Inc. of Richmond, Va.

Bill Fow, 53, who is based in Redding, Conn., serves as managing director of the New York area and is responsible for Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Previously, he was a New York-based vice president covering Connecticut, New Jersey and New York for Van Kampen Funds Inc. of Invesco Ltd. of Atlanta.

Eric Hargens, 51, who is based in Tampa, Fla., serves as managing director of the Southeast region and is responsible for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Puerto Rico. Previously, he was a Tampa-based divisional vice president for Janus Capital Group Inc. of Denver.

Dave Hogaboom, 47, serves as the managing director of the Great Lakes West area and is responsible for Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Previously, he was vice president and national sales manager at RiverSource Investments of Minneapolis.

Larry Johns, 46, who is based in Cincinnati, serves as managing director of the Great Lakes East area and is responsible for Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Previously, he was a Cincinnati-based director for Janus Capital Group.

Mark Linnecke, 43, who is based in Los Angeles, serves as managing director of the California area and as a registered investment adviser. He is responsible for distribution in California and the RIA channel for the Western region.

Previously, he was a Los Angeles-based director of the private wealth and trust group at Janus Capital Group.

Terry Riordan, 38, who is based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., serves as director of the California region and is responsible for overseeing the Southern California area. Previously, he was a sales representative in Aliso Viejo for American Fund Distributors of Los Angeles.

Keith Watts, 44, who is based in Dallas, serves as managing director of the Southern region and manages RIA distribution nationally. Previously, he was a vice president in Los Angeles for The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. of New York.

James Yount, 52, who is based in Coto de Caza, Calif., serves as senior managing director of franchise development and works with franchise operators to develop territories. Previously, he was national sales manager at Goldman Sachs.

Triad Advisors Inc. of Norcross, Ga., has promoted Craig Covington, 34, to vice president, from assistant vice president of investment products.

He is responsible for due diligence on investment products, education, training and research.

Mr. Covington will continue to oversee and work closely with product manufacturers.

Lincoln Financial Distributors Inc. of Radnor, Pa., has hired Thomas Tooley, 55, as head of insurance solutions distribution.

Based in Hartford, Conn., he is responsible for leading the distribution of Lincoln’s life insurance and executive benefits businesses.

Previously, Mr. Tooley was a senior executive, responsible for life insurance distribution at The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. of Simsbury, Conn.

Carson Wealth Management Group of Omaha, Neb., has hired Brett Carson as director of research, Aaron Foster as a financial analyst and Kevin Zemann as director of compliance.

Mr. Carson, 34, is responsible for providing daily reports on news, events, and both internal and external research that might influence the firm’s investment positions.

Previously, he was an equity analyst, based in Omaha, for Growth at a Reasonable Price Research & Securities Co. of Baltimore. There he specialized in fundamental independent research of mid- to small-cap companies, wrote research reports and built financial models.

Mr. Foster, 26, is responsible for supporting both Mr. Carson and Rob Isbitts, chief investment officer of the newly established registered investment advisory firm, CWM LLC, with various research functions, as well as assisting the wealth advisory team. Previously, Mr. Foster was an investment analyst and member of the investment committee at Bridges Investment Management Inc. of Omaha.

Mr. Zemann, 50, will work closely with the CWM compliance team, where he will also work to establish policies and procedures. Previously, Mr. Zemann was the director of supervision and compliance for Securities America Inc. of Omaha, where he oversaw the supervisory, sales practice, compliance systems and investigations departments.

Fusion Advisor Network of Elmsford, N.Y., has hired Abby Salameh, 41, as chief marketing officer and part of the senior executive team.

She is responsible for driving the growth of the firm and delivering marketing support to Fusion Advisor Network member firms.

Previously, Ms. Salameh was a consultant in the industry, focusing on firms’ strategy, growth and relationships with independent advisers.

Forward Management LLC of San Francisco has hired Jason Clarke, 35, as a vice president of sales.

Based in Branchburg, N.J., he has joined Forward’s intermediary sales team as regional sales director, responsible for serving financial advisers in the Eastern region.

Previously, Mr. Clarke was a vice president in the Hopewell, N.J.-based wealth management division of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., where he assisted in overseeing the Mideast region of Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.

RBC Correspondent Services LLC of Minneapolis has hired Sumit Mahay, 38, as a vice president and senior relationship manager.

Based in San Francisco, he is responsible for supporting business growth for RBC’s independent broker-dealers.

Previously, Mr. Mahay was an assistant vice president of the global customers division in San Francisco for Pershing LLC of Jersey City, N.J.

KBS Capital Markets Group LLC of Newport Beach, Calif., has hired David P. Stone, 49, as senior regional vice president overseeing Kentucky, Ohio and Western Pennysylvania.

Based in Dublin, Ohio, he is responsible for developing and managing relationships with broker-dealers and registered investment advisers on behalf of KBS-CMG Real Estate Investment Trusts.

Previously, Mr. Stone was senior vice president at Behringer Harvard in Dallas, where he focused on real estate investment offerings in Michigan, Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, including multiple programs involving nontraded real estate investment trusts.

Concert Wealth Management of San Jose, Calif., has hired James W. Cravotta, 41, as a financial adviser and managing director for its Orange County, Calif., office.

Based in Irvine, Calif., he is responsible for managing advisers in the Orange County office and developing liquidity and diversification strategies for high-net-worth clients planning to bring in over $300 million in assets under management.

Previously, Mr. Cravotta was first vice president of investments in Irvine at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC of New York.

Hedgeye Risk Management LLC of New Haven, Conn., has hired Jeremy Pink, 45, as a managing director.

He is based in New Haven and New York, and is responsible for leading the firm’s mass-market product and media efforts.

Previously, Mr. Pink was senior vice president for business news at CNBC of Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

Dana Investment Advisors of Brookfield, Wis., has hired Tony Grigonis, 31, as vice president of sales and marketing.

He is based in Chicago and is responsible for further developing the distribution of the firm’s investment product offerings.

Previously, Mr. Grigonis was assistant vice president of sales in Chicago for Hartford (Conn.), Mutual Funds, where he covered broker-dealer platforms.

Citi Private Bank of New York has hired Russ Labrasca, 59, as managing director and head of the Houston office.

He is responsible for plans to establish Citi as a wealth management firm in the region and provide service to ultrahigh-net-worth clients.

Previously, Mr. Labrasca was a senior managing director at Wells Fargo Private Bank in Dallas, where he was responsible for overseeing the Southern region. The firm is a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co. of San Francisco.
